my LOST theory

My theory is that they are all dead already. All the "survivors" are actually in "purgatory" where they have to relive all their sins and actions while they were still alive.

It's actually a very existentialist theory, loosely based on Sartre's play, No Exit. The play is set in hell. Three people just arrived. They were given a room and all they do, day in and day out (if a day exists in that plane) is to recall all that they have doen when they were still in the realm of the "living". After a time, all the souls in hell lose their ability to blink or close their eyes.
